Overview

Project objective
Fabric is an open-source tool utilizing AI to streamline report creation processes and aims to revolutionize the laborious task of generating reports more specifically within Cyber Security World. As Fabric embarked on its journey, establishing a compelling brand identity and an engaging website became important to disseminating its vision and gathering community interest.

My role
I developed the brand identity which included the logo and illustrations creation and the design of the landing page.

Outcomes
The website was released and it got the initial interest from the community, which will keep growing.

Logo Development

The project began with a preliminary analysis of competitors and industry trends. Additionally, gathering client feedback and preferences was crucial in shaping the brand's direction, ensuring alignment with its vision.

Once the direction was established, I started exploring various concepts. The initial logo sketches revolved around literal interpretations of "fabric" and related motifs such as threads. However, it became apparent that these concepts deviated from the client's vision.

Acknowledging the need for a reset, I sought deeper insights from the client, requesting visual inspirations that resonated with them. This led to a significant shift in the approach.

Recognizing Fabric's core functionality of assembling report templates from modular code blocks, the logo concept began to take shape. The design features two interlocking "F"s, symbolizing the modular building blocks that underpin Fabric's versatility and efficiency. The inclusion of a brotesque character further signifies its strong foundation.

Landing page

Subsequent to logo development, I started crafting the website's landing page which aimed to succinctly convey Fabric's value proposition and spark curiosity within the community. A minimalist approach was adopted, employing clear language and intuitive design elements to outline Fabric's functionalities and benefits. The landing page served as a springboard to captivate early adopters and foster anticipation for future updates.

Closing offs

As Fabric embarks on its initial stages, the journey is far from over. With a solid brand foundation in place, the focus shifts towards nurturing community engagement, fostering collaboration, and iterating on digital presence. The website serves as a dynamic platform for future enhancements, inviting users to join Fabric's evolution and help shape its trajectory.

In summary, the process of crafting Fabric's brand identity and website was an thrilling journey, characterized by exploration, collaboration, and adaptation.
